INSIGHTS : PROMOTE
Most of the resources presented here are derived from scientific literature and are ultimately intended to facilitate the understanding, prevention and effective intervention for a variety of situations or problems.
I am a psychologist and that no doubt has an influence on the selection and publication of the contents available at MH Insights.
However this project tries to be useful not only for psychologists or psychiatrists but for all those professionals who, directly or indirectly play a decisive role in this area.
These professionals include primary care physicians, nurses, social workers, guidance counselors, teachers, educators, occupational therapists...
Those medical professionals (specialists in different illnesses) who are aware of the importance of mental health in the prevention or effective treatment of various medical conditions are also especially taken into account.
The contribution of all these professionals is essential and not always taken into consideration as deserved. In this project, their contribution is critical. They are the priority beneficiaries of a large portion of resources selected here.
I would also like to point out as possible beneficiaries of these resources all those who are currently studying any of the above disciplines. Without a doubt many of the resources presented here may be useful to you.
Your input and suggestions are welcome. As your active participation in the project increases, I will try to find resources that you may find particularly useful.
Scientific literature, research reports, clinical guidelines, position statements, conferences, systematic reviews .... data interpretation requires knowledge and experience.
However some categories (see multimedia) include resources that can be equally useful for broader population groups, including patients and their families. Your comments or ideas are likewise appreciated.
